Julian came up with the plan to feature scarecrows in 2012. The rest is history. Special thanks to Randy and Aubergine for the corn and clothes!

Live actors really turn props into an experience. Julian and Elias would pose as "Just Another Decoration" right until someone got comfortable. Never have I seen so many kids pass up candy due to fright.

As always, we wanted lots of pumpkins and decided to integrate them with the scarecrows. Anything that gets the pumpkins up off the ground is a good plan as far as I'm concerned.

These were the hardest (left) and easiest (right) of the bunch. Eve: "How do you know how to tie a noose?"

Julian blending in with the other decorations. Many kids will have nightmares thanks to him and Elias.

I realized I never have shown this view. This is the herd as seen from the porch above. I'm not kidding when I say hundreds. Even with moderate rain we saw at least three-hundred trick-or-treaters tonight.

We do it all for these guys. Some are so amazed/startled/scared/cautious that they forget their line.

Props to Julian for a great idea and a stellar dedication to scaring the kids. Decorations were a team effort with the usual crew bringing it together and executing a great Halloween despite being soaked through, cold, and tired from the effort. Extra thanks to Pat and Julian for rallying right through the end!
